 Right now I’m not sure about what kind of job I would like to have but I have some ideas one of them is to work as a researcher in a university but to do that I’d have to do postgraduate studies and I don’t know if I will want to continue studying when I finish my degree. The other option is working in some industry that involves chemistry like coca cola or something like that. In both cases I imagine working indoors in a laboratory. In any of them I would like to travel to another country but not too much because it must be exhausting to travel all the time but I want to have the experience of travel to a chemistry congress. About the salary I hope to have one that allows me to buy the things I like, such as a videogames, books and other nerd things. To be honest I don’t know what kind of major I want to do because sometimes I believed that I like a subject but in the next months I want to study another thing, the last major that I wanted to do is Organic Chemistry because in this to

  My best vacation so far was a trip to the south of Chile and Bariloche, it was in 2020 when I graduated high school, it was a trip with my classmates, the trip lasted a week. The planning for the tour was a day travelling to Osorno and here we had dinner and after that we went to Puerto Varas for sleeping and for touring the city, then we went to Hotel in Bariloche, we stayed there three days and we did a lot of activities like visit the lake and the mountains, ride the cable car, play paintball, go to a nightclub, ride a quad, etc. It has been the best so far because I traveled with my best friends and we had a great time together, and walking around the city was enjoyable, eating the typical food of there and going shopping at a craft fair, also a places that I really liked was the chocolate shops, for some reason there are too many so I ended up buying many bars of chocolate. In conclusion, it was a trip in which I had a great time and I will hardly forget those moments.

  A country I would like to visit is Japan because I usually watch anime series and I like the landscape of this country as the Mount Fuji or  Biwa Lake. In the first place I would like to visit the different temples as Kiyomisu-dera situated in Kyoto or Kinkakuji temple also located in Kyoto, there are old and huge buildings of the Ancient age of Japan. Also I would like to visit Akihabara that is an area located in Tokyo, where you can find everything related to Japanese popular culture as video-games center and manga and anime shops. I would like to study there but just a few years because their culture is so different from ours and I will feel uncormtable surrounded all the experiences that entail. In conclusion I would like to visit this country but only for vacations, only to enjoy travel around the country and eat their typical food like sushi and ramen.

  This year it has been hard for me to concentrate on my studies, but if I had to choose a subject among all the subjects of this semester, it would be analytical chemistry, in that subject the subject is about techniques and methods to classify and analyse chemical compounds in small samples.   I enjoy the course because the subject is more experimental and it is not too much theory, so it is not difficult for me to study because it is more practical than other courses, for example organic chemistry, which for me is a difficult course. In the course I have learned chemical equilibrium and its application in analytical chemistry, such as solubility, precipitation of a compound. We have also seen methods to classify a sample, with which we can identify the anions or cations it contains. What I thought before studying it was that because of the name the course was going to be more complicated and boring, also there were people who told me that the course was boring, but in the end,

  Hi everyone, the person I chose is Valery Alekseyevich Lagasov he was a soviet chemist in the field of inorganic chemistry, he was born on September 1, 1936 in Tula in the former Soviet Union and he is remembered because he oversaw the Chernobyl accident investigation committee. After the accident, he was a key member in investigating the causes of the disaster and measures to minimize its effects. His death was a suicide two years after the incident, at which time he was suffering from depression and lung cancer due to the radioactivity he was exposed to. In 1996 he was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation. I personally respect Valery because he and his team of researchers managed to somehow minimize the damage caused to the population and they did it all from scientific knowledge, I hope someday to help the planet in that way.

  Hi everyone, my major as I tell you in the previous post is Chemistry and my major could affect the world for better or worse, It depends on who does the work, because it has been seen sometimes in the chemical industries that something goes wrong and that ends up affecting the ecosystem and people, so the chemists have to do their job perfectly. I am still not sure where and how to pursue my major, but I want to help make the world a better place, either by studying chemical compounds that can help society or by working in a company dedicated to the environment. My career contributes to the world in different areas, as an exact science can contribute whether it is in research, food, the environment, chemicals that contribute to society. An example of the help of chemists is that they contribute in the work of creating vaccines against covid-19.
