This year it has been hard for me to concentrate on my studies, but if I had to choose a subject among all the subjects of this semester, it would be analytical chemistry, in that subject the subject is about techniques and methods to classify and analyse chemical compounds in small samples. 

I enjoy the course because the subject is more experimental and it is not too much theory, so it is not difficult for me to study because it is more practical than other courses, for example organic chemistry, which for me is a difficult course.

In the course I have learned chemical equilibrium and its application in analytical chemistry, such as solubility, precipitation of a compound. We have also seen methods to classify a sample, with which we can identify the anions or cations it contains.

What I thought before studying it was that because of the name the course was going to be more complicated and boring, also there were people who told me that the course was boring, but in the end, it is the course that I liked the most of this semester.

Gratuitous pictures of yourself

  First of all, I must say that I usually don't take pictures of myself so I had to look for some pictures that I find funny and I found very few but I chose this one because I dedicated myself to make the picture look good, I took it when I was studying in high school and when I was watching a lot of anime. At the time my picture was taken I was watching for the first time an anime called Jojos bizarre adventure, the plot is about the lineage of the Joestar family and how they must fight supernatural forces, the story of the first Joestar, Jonathan Joestar takes place in the 1880's who faced his family's worst enemy, his stepbrother named "Dio", this enemy will resurrect to cause most of the dangers directed towards the family. I became obsessed with that show and in the Jojos community there is a joke about taking pictures posing like the Jojos characters. So, I took a picture of me posing like the Jojos, but I wanted to finish the job well so I was practicing

A country I would like to visit

  A country I would like to visit is Japan because I usually watch anime series and I like the landscape of this country as the Mount Fuji or  Biwa Lake. In the first place I would like to visit the different temples as Kiyomisu-dera situated in Kyoto or Kinkakuji temple also located in Kyoto, there are old and huge buildings of the Ancient age of Japan. Also I would like to visit Akihabara that is an area located in Tokyo, where you can find everything related to Japanese popular culture as video-games center and manga and anime shops. I would like to study there but just a few years because their culture is so different from ours and I will feel uncormtable surrounded all the experiences that entail. In conclusion I would like to visit this country but only for vacations, only to enjoy travel around the country and eat their typical food like sushi and ramen.

  Hello everyone, my name is Christian Soto, I am twenty years old, I study Chemistry, this is my second year in the career. I am from Chile, I live in Ñuñoa, with my parents, my sister, and my uncle. My home is close to the Estadio Nacional so when I was younger, I played soccer there. I like a lot of things such as read books, play videogames, and see movies. My Favorite book is  ¨ The name of the wind ¨ and currently my favorite movie is Reservoir Dogs. I do not like a particular style of music, I listen to anything that sounds good, currently I listen to Low roar, their music relaxes me and when I study it helps me to  concentrate.
